A drawing per day

Hi everyone, Bruno here!

For this one I would like to share this creative LDR project I’m in. It is about trying to making Julie-Anne smile every morning when she wakes up (and I’m not talking about bringing breakfast in bed or… stuff hahahaha). Just kidding, it is not easy to be in a long distance relationship and as she said in the first post, we need to be creative in order to keep it healthy.

Since I’m more or less creative I needed to get the inspiration somewhere. One day we were on our daily routine talking on Skype and mumbling about random stuff, when I suddenly came up with the work and idea of Curtis Wiklund http://curtiswiklundphoto.com/sketches/. His project is to draw every day, for one year, for his wife about their daily lives. I was amazed by his work and most importantly, it matches with us so well that I could not ignore that. So I decided to do around the same thing… a drawing per day for Julie-Anne.

So how do I make them? I use an app that already come with the cellphone I have and it’s called Keep. It has many features and one of them is to draw. That feature is really simple and I love the way it works (No need for Adobe Photoshop, or a tablet…). So, now that we have an application to work with, what I do is search on the internet for inspiration. I simply search for sketches and drawings that have meanings of what we did or what she’s doing in the next day and I draw them on this app. Usually I post every night after she gets to bed so she can see it in the next morning when she wakes up. If at least I can make her smile just once every day… That is great for me already!

And now, if you want to see the drawingAday: go in the drawings/pictures section in the menu Creative list. A drawing is going to be posted each day. 🙂

Thanks for reading, hope it got you inspired!!!

Here’s a little drawing from Curtis that we thought represented us well (as well as the drawing on the top of this blog post). Go check out his website!
